The Bible says Satan is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. This shaky shadow of a roaring lion is often defeated and far removed from us by the fragrance of our prayer. God is earger to hear from us through prayer, Jesus Christ is our example and encourager in all things and especially in prayer. Our prayer should produce a fragrance that reflect the supernatural ability of Jesus Christ. Investing in our prayers is the only way to overcome the evil world we live in, investing in prayer is seeking the protection of God, investing in prayer is recognising our confidence in God through Christ Jesus and not ourselves. Investing in prayer is avoiding all the distractions at work in our lives. Prayer is the training you need to win the title fights in life, Pastor Jack Graham once said “life is a war and prayer is the battle ground and it is in the battle ground that we win or loose.”
When we pray, we are actually infusing and dictating the will of God to our situation, this intereferes with the metabolism of satanic forces stopping them from advancing. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers , against the rulers of darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places. Praying always- investing in prayers is amazing because it produces a vibrant mix of Godly flavoured results. Prayer is the bulletproof and assault rifles we need if we are to have a qualitative victory, the victors not the victims in the combat we face daily. Principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness have all shown vulnerability to prayers when we reprove them. Prayer is a classic luxury, not cheap, if you are buying one. The goodnews? You don’t have to. Christ is paid it all on the cross-he said it is finished, the sacrifice is paid for; from hence forth let no man trouble me: for I bear the mark of the Lord Jesus. This is all you need to remind Satan in your prayers. When you pray in the word, you are communicating the unsearchable riches of Christ, reminding satan that he is a defeated fellow roaring like a lion, standing firm and proclaiming the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free. I dare say to you that investing in prayer is the only way to unlock the secrets of this amazing and incredible relationship we have with the father through Jesus Christ. Invest in prayer and witness a spectacle that has only been observed by a handful of people..
Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God delved deep into the subject of prayer and inspired us to pray, his life was a life of prayer because of the persecutions and remained at the cutting edge of prayer-
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition-a specific or definite requests, with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. Paul said ” I thank my God upon every remeberance of you always in every prayer of mine for you ….. and God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Finally, investing in prayer is an exciting and excellent way of understanding what God has prepared for us firing our imaginations-setting our affection on things above, not on things on the earth and a declaration of our dependence on Him.
