Welcome to February 2013 Edition of Shepherd’s Guide. Thanks for joining me on February Connect-a time to disconnect yourself from the weight of your worries and anxiety. February Connect is a time to embolden yourself in Praise, a time to recondition your attitude and customize your Praise and Faith to regain the vigor needed to please God! Rejoice, be Active in personal Bible study, be Joyful and be Praiseful!
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.
Praising God is amazing! There is nothing else like praising God. Your praise is an unwavering confidence in God-your Redeemer and Deliverer. Loss of appetite to praise can lead to spiritual frailty and disconnection from the things of the spirit. It’s time to take a stand and stretch your Praise lifestyle to its limit. Exercise it-you can do more than you think you can. Inactivity in Praise can lead to an unexpected significant disconnection from God.
The objective of February Connect is to help you maximize your journey and faith relationship with God through Praise. In smarter sense, it’s nothing short of reprogramming your Praise attitude to increase your Faith capacity.

February 1st -4th 2013 Bible Study Your Faith To Transformation And Grow
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, engrafted in Christ-he walks not after the flesh, but after the Spirit, he is a new creation- a creation individualized through the righteousness that is in Christ Jesus. A New Creation Spiritually reborn and divinely reprogrammed to incorporate the lifestyle and abilities in Christ Jesus. What a total transformation? The old is gone, knowing that our previous moral, spiritual and sinful recalcitrant nature is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed. Hallelujah! The new has come-we being daily transformed, daily educated by the heavenly fitness routine of the Holy Spirit in us. Until we are completely changed, in the likeness of Jesus!
Have you lost the appetite for the word and relationship with God? Discover God for yourself. The benefit of experience comes with Bible study. Everything in life is wrapped up and embedded in the Bible. Personal Bible study is useful in order to maintain good works and avoid unfruitful works of darkness. Being more mature spiritually is actually an advantage in perseverance, endurance, patience and your response to things of the Spirit in your faith-walk.
When you actively study the scripture continually you will almost see or feel that amazing sense of expectation, in faith and the opportunity to expand your thinking in line with the word of God. Bible study exercises and increases your faith. It is a crucial training for your spiritual growth. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action). So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.
February 5th-9th 2013 JESUS “IF YOU ABIDE IN ME…” POWER TO CHANGE THE AGENDA
He said, ‘If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7
It is not what we go through in life that matters, what matters is how and where we seek solutions to change the agenda of our circumstances when we go through them. Again, our personal perspective is not what matters, what matters is the scale of our faith, using the tools of the living word of God to rebuild and reinforce the chemistry of our relationship with God.
You may feel God is unsympathetic towards you in that decimating valley of multilayered afflictions. It’s quite the opposite because we sometimes blame God; when all we have done is deliberately minimizing or neglecting God or even removing God from the equation of our situation. God is always there with us, through the good, happy, sad and bad times no matter what we think. He said I will never leave or forsake you. We may sometimes be alive to the fact that we are lonely in certain situations because we are conscious of the extent of the problems which tends to conceal the truth and the knowledge we know about God. Remember Paul and Silas how they were thrown into jail beaten, battered and chained, remember Joseph in that pit before been sold to the Egyptian; Remember Esther an orphan in captivity. Remember Apostle Paul. Remember how they never for once lurched, recoiled or flinched from their faith and how their later report lent credence to this view. They changed the agenda of their days by seeking God, seeking, rebuilding and reinforcing every substance of their relationship with God thereby minimizing the impact of whatever they were going through.
Notice this, it’s our approach that is spiritually flawed; it’s our approach that has failed to get God’s resounding endorsement and yield results. Jesus said “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you”
You must have the COURAGE to abide and shake off the defeated mindset, to ask whatever you wish. You may be broken and scattered in many places…Jesus said abide, set your affections on him…help is on its way. COURAGE is the brave choice you need to reach your break through to avoid and overcome the unnecessary diversions thrown into your storyline. Joseph had loads of obstacles before he became the Prime minister in a foreign land (Egypt). Read Genesis 45:3-5 Joseph said “God did send me before you to preserve life” Courage dilutes hatred Genesis 50:20 He said “But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring it to pass as it is this day to save …”
GOD CAN BECAUSE HE IS GOD AND GOD IS ABLE BECAUSE HE IS STILL GOD….But first, we must reach out to Him, we must build the bridge of Trust, Faith and Confidence in Him and crush or decimate our unfruitful casual attitude of doubt – the multilayered firewall between us and God. We must please God with our faith to get his endorsement and obtain from Him… Hence Jesus said John 15:7 “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”
We must abide and have the nourishing experience from the doctrine of Christ to flourish in him. GOD CAN AND GOD IS ABLE IF WE ABIDE AND DOUBT NOT…. To abide in Christ is to be united to Christ, to be preserved by our union with him; to have our lives regulated by the doctrine of Christ suffer and control our conduct and affections.
